Another wonderful Thursday at the Canadian Bhutanese Society (CBS) Seniors Program!
The day began with light stretching and wellness exercises, helping our seniors stay active, improve mobility, and maintain a healthy lifestyle. It was wonderful to see everyone participating with enthusiasm and smiles.
A special highlight of the day was an informative Phone Scam & Fraud Prevention Awareness Session, where seniors learned how to recognize common scams, protect their personal information, avoid sharing banking or SIN details over the phone, and what to do if they receive suspicious calls or messages. Keeping our seniors informed and safe is an important part of our program.
We were also honoured to receive a beautiful handmade model home, by Man Bahadur, symbolizing our shared vision of one day establishing a permanent Canadian Bhutanese Society Community Centre—a welcoming place where seniors, youth, and families can come together to learn, celebrate, and support one another.
The afternoon concluded with group activities, meaningful conversations, laughter, and a memorable group photo that reflected the friendship and strong community spirit growing each week.
A heartfelt thank you to all our seniors, volunteers, presenters, and supporters for making another successful program possible. Your continued dedication is helping build a stronger, healthier, safer, and more connected community.
We look forward to seeing everyone again next Thursday!
