The Canadian Bhutanese Society (CBS) of Lethbridge is a community-based organization registered under the applicable laws of the Province of Alberta. The Society’s activities, programs, services, and operations are guided by the Alberta Societies Act and the Society’s Bylaws. The Bylaws provide a framework for the effective governance, management, and operation of CBS while supporting the needs and interests of the Bhutanese community in Lethbridge.
As the needs of our community and the circumstances of the Society evolve, the Bylaws may be reviewed and updated periodically. When revisions are required, CBS may establish a Bylaws Review Committee to carefully review the existing Bylaws and consider feedback and recommendations from the community. Proposed amendments are presented to the membership for consideration and approval at the Annual General Meeting, in accordance with the requirements of the Alberta Societies Act.
