On the fine evening of Oct 26, 2019 about 300 people gathered at the Multicultural Centre Lethbridge to celebrate one of the biggest Festival of many of the Hindu members of the Canadian Bhutanese Society Lethbridge, Diwali. The festival ‘Diwali’, often called festival of lights, is celebrated by lighting candles and brightening house, welcoming Goddess Laxmi to bring wealth and prosperity. There were many people from outside communities, who joined the Bhutanese members in celebration of the Diwali. There were many cultural dances, songs including poems. The Canadian Bhutanese Society thanks all the performers for their time and talent, along with everyone for their participation.
