Today, the Canadian Bhutanese Society (CBS) proudly celebrated our **Pre-Canada Day Seniors Program**, bringing together our seniors, volunteers, and community members for an afternoon filled with friendship, culture, laughter, and appreciation.
We were deeply honoured to welcome Mayor Blaine Hyggen as our special guest. On behalf of CBS and our seniors, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mayor Hyggen for taking the time to join us and share his inspiring words of encouragement. His presence and continued support for our community made the celebration truly memorable.
Our sincere thanks also go to the **Community Foundation of Lethbridge and Southwestern Alberta** for supporting this important seniors initiative, which continues to create opportunities for our seniors to stay active, connected, and engaged.
As we celebrate Canada Day, we are reminded of the values that make Canada such a wonderful place to call home—diversity, inclusion, respect, volunteerism, and community spirit. Today’s celebration reflected these values as seniors from our community came together to celebrate our shared future while honouring our cultural heritage.
A heartfelt thank you to all our volunteers, facilitators, and everyone who attended and contributed to another successful Seniors Day Program.
**Happy Canada Day to everyone!** May we continue to build a stronger, more caring, and more connected community together.
