On behalf of the Canadian Bhutanese Society, we are writing to cordially invite all CBS members to attend the Dashain Festival celebration on 12th October 2014.
Dashain is the annual festival celebrated by our Community. It is the most auspicious festival in the Nepalese annual calendar celebrated by Nepalese people of all castes throughout the globe. The festival is also the most anticipated event for the people of Nepalese origin.
It is our tradition to celebrate annually to keep the culture alive and participate in it to get a sense of community feeling.
Like previous years we would like to welcome New arrivals to Lethbridge. It is also a great opportunity for us to meet them and share among ourselves.
It is that time for the elders to be proud as they get to meet and bless their loved ones . Let us celebrate and enjoy this biggest festival of the year in a good spirit.
The actual “Bijaya Dasami” falls on Saturday the 4th October, But we will celebrate the get together on Sunday the 12th of October. Let us start the celebration around 5 p.m. and wrap up at 11 p.m.
This year we have booked the hall at Southminster United Church opposite City hall.
